REINA MARÍA RODRÍGUEZ

Poet  Cuban born in Havana in 1952. 


With a degree in Hispanic American Literature from the University of Havana, she is undoubtedly one of the most important figures in current Cuban poetry.
She worked as an editor for radio programs and directed the Literature section of the Hermanos Saíz Association.
He has published in magazines in America and Europe, and his work has been translated into several languages.
She has been awarded the "Julián del Casal" poetry award from the Union of Writers and Artists of Cuba in 1980 and 1993, with the "Plural Magazine" award from Mexico in 1992, and with the "Casa de las Américas award. "in 1984 and 1998. In addition, in 1999, he received the" Order of Arts and Letters of France ".
His published work includes: When a woman does not sleep in 1980, For a white lamb in 1984, In the sand
from Padua in 1991, Páramos in 1993, Traveling in 1995, The photo of the greenhouse in 1998,
  and I will feed you like birds ... "in the year 2000.
She directs the Casa de Letras cultural project in Havana and is editor of Azoteas magazine.
